Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Ric's Bread is must stop when visiting Lancaster. Their breads and muffins are always fresh and full flavor. Since we don't make it to Lancaster as often as we like I do freeze some of the bread which does freeze nicely. The crackers! Our all time favorite. My husband absolutely loves the spicy crackers just a little kick without being too spicy. So much better than a store bought box crackers.

Place went down hill. They used to be better. Now every single bread tastes sweet as if they sugar coat it. It wasn't that bad at first but at this point it is all pastry.. Bread is not supposed to be sweet

The fresh baked bread and toasting granola wafted through the air. It pulled us from the street into a small storefront we hadn’t noticed before. Esther gave us the lay of the land, and as it was late in the day, sold us the last of the wares. Fresh white grain rich bread, a sweet roll with currants and cranberries, raspberry-lemon cake, coconut cake, chicken noodle soup and savory cheese habanero crackers. Each item was better than the first. This will be our go to special bakery when we visit again.
